Eligibility Criteria:
The following criteria must be met by applicants to be eligible to apply for Lanzhou University Chinese Government Scholarship 2024:
- The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen with excellent physical and mental health.
- Degree and age requirements: Students enrolled in a master’s program must possess a bachelor’s degree and be less than 35 years of age. Students pursuing a doctoral degree must have earned a master’s degree and must be under forty years of age.
- The ability to perform scientific research well and achieve excellent grades
- Students who have not been awarded another scholarship.
- The applicant must have passed the Chinese proficiency test (HSK) at Level 4 or above (Valid for two years).
Required Documents:
The following documents will be required for application to Lanzhou University CSC Scholarship 2024-25 Chinese Government Scholarship:
- The Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form (no matter if it is filled out in Chinese or English).
- You will need to complete a copy of the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners (in English or Chinese). The Foreigner Physical Examination Form should be strictly followed by the applicant. There is an invalid “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” if a photo of the foreigner is missing, or if it does not bear a rider seal, or if it is not signed and stamped by a physician or hospital. There is a six-month validity period for the inspection result. The original should be brought to the registration process.
- Document certifying the graduation of students who have completed their undergraduate degree and are pursuing a graduate degree (documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English. Fresh graduates must submit their pre-graduation document. (Certificate).
- An official transcript of the interview (transcripts in languages other than Chinese and English must be accompanied by an official translation into Chinese or English notarized by the court).
- Recommendation letter: Two letters of recommendation from faculty members (Chinese or English).
- Plans for studying or conducting research in China (in Chinese or English, no fewer than 800 words);
- Please provide a copy of the research results. Award certificates, abstracts of published papers, etc.
- Please provide a copy of your language test transcript (Chinese or English). The HSK level 4 or above is required for those wishing to teach Chinese as a foreign language (the certificate is valid for two years). Applicants for English language teaching who are not English speakers are required to submit an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, a TOEFL score of 80 or higher, or other proof of their proficiency in English.
- Please submit a copy of your valid passport. Additionally, applicants residing on mainland China are required to provide a copy of the current page of their valid visa or residence permit.

The admissions department at our school will require applicants to submit supplementary material, which the school will not accept if it is not cleared or incomplete at the time of application.
