It was established as a collaborative effort between Vingroup, one of Vietnam’s largest private enterprises, and Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania, both prestigious institutions in the United States.

Scholarships and Financial Aid from VinUniversity

The VinUniversity is committed to ensuring that talented students have access to the highest quality education regardless of their financial circumstance. All VinUniversity students in the first five intakes will be eligible to receive various types of financial aid or scholarships as part of Vingroup’s commitment to providing high quality higher education.

VinUniversity Merit-based scholarships

Students’ entire degree program at VinUniversity will be covered by 50% – 100% of tuition fees. The scholarship program is designed to provide full coverage of 100% of the tuition fee, as well as $1,500 for living expenses for students who display exceptional talent.

VinUniversity Financial Aid

Approximately 50% to 100% of the tuition fees for the entire degree program will be covered.

35% tuition subsidy from Vingroup

A 35% tuition fee subsidy will be provided by Vingroup to all admitted students for the academic year 2024-2025. Those students who have received merit-based scholarships and financial aid are exempt from this requirement.

Furthermore, VinUniversity and partner organizations can provide additional support for specific applicants based on their needs. There is more than one type of scholarship and support available to all students.

*Additional “privileges” for candidates admitted in the Early Round:

For the first 30 outstanding students admitted, the New Horizon Scholarship Fund will award 30 scholarships worth a total of 50 million VND (deducted directly from the tuition fee for the first semester).

All candidates will be able to take advantage of special gifts (products and services) from the Vingroup ecosystem.

2024-2025 Academic Year Admission

• Early Round: from October 15, 2023, to January 15, 2024
• Regular Round: from February 15 to May 15, 2024
• Rolling Round: from June 15 to August 15, 2024.

Rather than waiting until the end of each admission round to screen applications and conduct evaluations, VinUniversity will conduct screenings and evaluations every month (on the 15th of each month).
